Booking and Fees

You need to get in touch to check the date you want is free. You can do this by sending an enquiry or by phoning 07881 955525. I will book a free consultation with you to discuss your plans and create a firm quote. You then make the booking by signing the contract and paying a 25% deposit.

See my Fees page for my latest prices

I try to keep my pricing simple and offer a single price for photography. I don’t offer packages as experience has shown me that packages mean that couples usually end up buying things they didn’t perhaps want. I do however offer a discount on all album and print purchases made at the time of booking.

See my Fees page for more detail.

  • Full photojournalism style photographic coverage for the whole day (typically producing 300-500 finished images)*
  • Run-late guarantee – I’ll stay beyond the agreed finish time when things run behind schedule*
  • As many consultations as we need to get the planning right 🙂
  • Venue visit with the couple*
  • Coordination with minister, venue and suppliers
  • “Digital negatives” – Unedited, high resolution images provided as .jpg files on USB with full rights to use and distribute the images as you wish for personal use
  • Password protected gallery to share with friends and relatives with print ordering
  • Wooden USB Memory Stick with all of your finished images in wood presentation case
  • 15% off all print purchases made at time of booking

*Up to nine hours coverage. Run-late guarantee up to 10pm at the photographer’s discretion. Venue visits are great to talk through the day, but sometimes because of travelling distance this is not possible.

You are under no obligation to buy any additional products. I do think that an album gives you a cherished item to share your memories with. I’ve aways thought that photographs were meant to be printed.

Getting prints and albums preserves your images over time. Digital images can be lost, technologies change (that USB stick may no longer be usable in years to come), but an album or prints will last.

You can still book me but the difference is that your deposit remains refundable until you give me a firm date. I do this because other couples will still be booking me for the period you are interested in.

However, because you have paid a deposit I will let you know about any bookings that are landing in the period you are interested in and give you the opportunity to book that date first. You’ll need to confirm within 3 days of receiving notice of another booking.

If I am available on your new date, then I’ll just change the booking.

If I am not available on the new date then I will see if any other photographers I know are available and put you in touch with them. Your deposit is not refundable.

Normally, no as it is a non-refundable deposit.

The only instances where deposit is refunded are:

  1. Within 7 days of signing the contract.
  2. For a tentative booking where no firm date is given the deposit is refundable up until a date is agreed. The moment we agree a date then the deposit becomes non-refundable.

You can pay by bank transfer or by card.

I accept:

Vida, Master Card, Maestro, American Express, Pay Pal

Yes I do – happy to go just about anywhere 🙂

Any locations over 50 miles round trip from High Wycombe will incur reasonable travel costs which will be agreed in writing.

For overseas locations or locations in the UK requiring an overnight stay then accommodation and travel fees may apply.

While I prefer to book my own accommodation, some clients choose to provide this as part of their group booking of a hotel.

On the Day

That’s completely up to you and also how the day pans out. We’ll agree a start and finish time; it’s usual to book from the point of getting ready in the morning up until shortly after the first dance. If things run late, I’ll always hang on 🙂

The latest I can stay is until 10pm.

One of the great things about documentary photography is that you don’t have to worry about posing in front of a camera 🙂 The images I take will be natural, candid images during the day and a lot of the time you won’t know I’m there.

Having said that, it’s my job to help you relax in front of the camera! During my time as a photographer I have also covered fashion and events so I’m used to photographing people and making them look good!

You won’t look terrible 🙂 I will photograph you from different angles which may seem unfamiliar as you are used to looking at yourself in a mirror. Just remember others see you from all these different angles and they will think you look great!

General Questions

Normally yes – in fact I like it best if you just treat me as one of the guests. This enables me to melt into the background a bit better and capture the candid images I love to take. It does also depend on how many guests you have. If you have more than 120 guests then I may bring an assistant to help me with any formal shots you would like.

An average is between 40-100 images per hour. A typical, full day produces around 300-500 images but this will vary.

Every wedding has different people, different locations and different lighting conditions so your pictures will be unique. I will apply my skill and experience to capture the best images I can on the day.

I am a documentary photographer which means my style is about taking candid images of the events as they unfold to tell a story of the day.

I specialise in Black and White images so there will be plenty of them in your album and you can have the entire wedding shot in Black and White if you wish.

Once paid for, they’re yours to do whatever you want with for personal use. You can’t sell them or use them for business.

Yes I have comprehensive public and professional indemnity insurance.

After the Wedding

The images will be accessible via a password protected online gallery where there is also the option to buy prints and printed products like wall canvases or framed desk prints.

Allow 4 weeks for post-processing of your images at busy times of the year. I will always get them to you as soon as possible.

At first, images will be shared on an online gallery that is private to the couple. From there images for the album(s) and print(s) can be chosen and any images you don’t want on the gallery to share with family and friends can be removed.

If you want an express service of one or two images within 1 week of the wedding then this option is available for a fee of ÂŁ50.

I’m also a graphic designer so I design the layout of all of the albums by hand. There are lots of colours and designs to choose from so I will help guide that process.

You then simply pick the images you want from the online gallery of pictures. I then create a PDF proof of the album.

I use perhaps the best album producer in the UK called Loxely Colour. I send the finished design to them and they make the albums by hand and deliver them to an address of your choosing.
